Frequently Asked Questions
How much do your services cost?
Cocktail parties start at $60pp. Three-course dinners start at $75pp. Additional appetizers and courses, service, rentals, travel, and tax are additional. We have a $1,000 minimum on food.
Do you charge gratuity?
Gratuity is at our client's discretion and should be based on how happy you are with our services.
How many people can you accommodate?
Up to 50 for cocktail parties. Up to 25 for dinner parties.
What type of facilities do you need?
At the very least, we need the amenities of a standard home kitchen: a stove, oven, sink, and workspace. Our best meals require a six-burner gas range and large oven.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Of course! We can design your entire menu around dietary restrictions or we can provide a substitute for any guests with allergies. In some cases, guests may require a separate dish. We charge an additional fee for the time spent planning, prepping, and packing that additional dish.
Can I bring my own servers or have my housekeeper help?
You are welcome to bring your own staff to help with other aspects of your party. We do require the use of our staff for anything related to our services. Our servers are friendly and knowledgeable. They know how to explain our dishes to guests with allergies, and they know how to help the chef team when needed.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking 6-8 weeks in advance if possible, especially if you need rental coordination. To secure your date, we must have a signed contract and a 50% deposit.
Do you offer drop-off catering?
We do not offer drop-off catering.
Do you still offer large event catering?
Weddings and other large events were Chef Simi's passion when she started Wanderlust Catering. In December 2016, she and her husband welcomed a very special baby boy, Ace, into the world. After the 2017 wedding season, Simi decided to focus on smaller private dinners going forward in order to spend more time with her family.
